Armenia is the country full of ancient churches and has always attracted people who know or wants to know history. The monuments and their remains that you will find here is the beauty of this place, but apart from exploring these places, there are things also that one can do on his trip to Armenia.

Here is a list of things that you must do while you are in Armenia. You should definitely include these things on your to-do list during your coming Armenia tour.

Explore the famous places

As we all know that Armenia is the first Christian country and that is why famous for its old churches and their remains. Some of the church buildings that were built long back are restored now and one can see how it was made originally. Armenia is the best place for those who are interested in history, arts, and architecture. Some of the famous churches that one can visit in Armenia are Geghard monastery, Khor vihap monastery, Tatev monastery. These are some of the most ancient and talked about churches of Armenia.

Enjoy the local cuisine

Apart from exploring the churches and old monuments the other thing that you will love to do in Armenia is exploring its local cuisine. Some of the popular local food of Armenia is Morash and Kyufta. Morash is a dish in which you get small pieces of chicken along with green peas. Kyufta is a dish in which you will get mushroom, grain, and beef mixed together. Along with all this, the most favourite food of Armenian people is Lavash. Lavash is basically a type of bread which is made by mixing flour, salt, and water and then baking it in an underground earth oven. This bread can be kept for more than a year without any harm. So, the local woman of Armenia makes this bread in bulk and then stores them for the coming months.

Do not miss the special Armenian coffee

The coffee here in Armenia is not different from any other place but the preparation method is different. Here, the coffee is made by crushing the coffee beans and then by adding water to it. After that, this paste is heated in a special Armenian coffee making pot. The specialty of this pot is that it is narrow in the beginning. The coffee becomes ready to drink, once the foam comes out of the pot. They like to drink this as it is. Sugar is not added to this coffee.

Explore the American pink city

Yerevan is called the pink city of America. When one comes to Armenia it is not possible that he or she won’t visit this place. This city was made by the volcanic rocks that were pink in shade and that is probably the reason why it is called the pink city. Yerevan is a city with all the modern architecture and numerous opera centers. Some of the popular attractions of this beautiful city are republic square, genocide memorial, mother Armenia monument, and many others.

So, these were few of the important things that you cannot miss doing while you are in Armenia.
