George Timothy Clooney was born in the early 60s, in Lexington, Kentucky. His parents are Nina Bruce (née Warren), who is a former beauty pageant queen, and Nick Clooney, who is a former anchorman and television host. Interestingly enough, Nick was also the brother of singer Rosemary Clooney).
Clooney has Irish, English, and German heritage. Clooney spent most of his younger years in Ohio and Kentucky. He graduated from Augusta High School and was very active in sports such as basketball as well as baseball. He tried out for the Cincinnati Reds team but was not given a contract.
Clooney’s Early Career
After his cousin, Miguel Ferrer, snagged him a small role in a feature film, Clooney began to pursue acting seriously. His first major role was on the series E/R (1984) as Ace. More roles soon followed, including:

In 2014, however, he wed Lebanese English lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The couple had twins, Alexander and Ella, in 2017. The couple first met while in Lake Como, Italy, in July 2013. Later on that year, they went on their first date in London.
After a whirlwind romance and a number of vacations, the pair returned home to Los Angeles. It was then — while recalling on a trip to Kenya — that George decided he wanted to stay with Amal forever.
