Tips To Boost Foot Traffic In Your Shop

In the wake of the pandemic, customers have shown a sharp preference towards online shopping. Finding new ways to get people to walk through the doors of your brick and mortar business could prove pretty challenging in this day and age, but there’s still room to grow.

People are getting tired of staying in the house all of the time, and now is the right time to grab their attention. Here are a few ways to bring new life and more foot traffic to your store.

Revamp all of your signage

If it’s been a while since you went through and checked out your signage situation, this could be a big help. People look for signage before entering an establishment. If your shop isn’t clearly marked and easy to figure out, people will shy away.

Make sure you have signs placed in strategic locations inside and outside of your store to let everyone know that you are open for business and ready to serve.

This could also be an opportunity to look into digital signage for retail businesses, it’s a simple cost effective way to show off your brand and increase foot traffic without much effort.

Upgrade your premises

Giving your business a little upgrade always helps to pique the interests of consumers. Add an ATM to your store, or do what it takes to start taking a new form of payment.

Whatever you choose as your store upgrade, make sure the customers are made well aware of the new and improved experience. It’s been proven that an ATM sign will boost foot traffic all by itself, so be open about what your place has to offer

Claim your Google My Business

If you have yet to claim your place on Google, then now is as good a time as any to invest some time in your Google My Business listing. Your business won’t just magically appear online, loaded with all the information customers need to know to visit.

You have to input the information about your store manually. Add your store hours, contact phone numbers, and more to Google, so interested consumers can easily find out what’s up with your business.

Host an event

Hosting an event can work wonders for raising awareness of your shop. It doesn’t have to be a huge event, but give people a reason to get excited about visiting your spot.

However, be vigilant in your methods when holding an event. According to the CDC, Social distancing and masks should still be the standard whenever there are more than just a few people in a space.

Encourage customers to purchase gift cards

Holidays and birthdays are a great time for giving gift cards. Selling your current customers a gift card means that they will bring someone else into the store down the line. Encourage the sale of gift cards in your shop to provide the chance to build new relationships with consumers.
