The big thing that I was really looking for when we were searching for a PR firm was a team who shared our goals and visions. I needed to feel that they were just as invested in helping us to reach our goals as we were. This is a real deal breaker for me anti is the very least that you should expect from the PR firm which you choose. They are going to be the ones communicating and packaging your message, working creatively to help your business achieve, so they have to be invested in this just as much as you are.
Public relations company have to deliver on creativity and this is something else that you should be focusing on. Ask to see work which they have done with other clients and garage whether or not you think that it shows the creative flair that you need.
Talking the Talk
You can’t communicate with every industry in the same way and even in the case of a press release this will have to be worded with different tone and a different voice deepening on what the sector and marketplace is. With this in mind you need a PR company who knows your marketplace, has contacts in that industry and which understands exactly how to communicate your message to them.
Finally you need to make sure that you have a team which already has a plan in place for your business, they should have done their homework ahead of the meeting and they should be brimming with exciting ideas for you to consider. This is the difference between a standard PR company and one which will hep you to reach your goals.
